Winter Luxury

Unfortunately summer is long over. The weather is getting colder and colder and the sun is becoming a rare visitor.
I'm not a big fan of winter, to tell you the truth. It's not fun to wake up early while it's still dark and it's definitely not fun to walk in the snow while trying to avoid slipping and falling down.
On the other hand, winter clothes can be really fun to wear (that's of course if you avoid the temptation of wearing hoodies each and every day). There's a certain elegance to winter clothes. I don't know if it's the coats or if it's the scarfs or boots.
This winter though it's official:  winter clothes are luxurious and festive.
Fur is making a major comeback, whether it's real or faux.

We see new styles and trends celebrating the new adaption of Anna Karenina, starring Keira Knightly and Jude Law. The Russian style fur hats are gonna be really hot (literally) this fall and winter and also fur coats and scarfs.
Fur styles are mostly costly, but you can definitely find items that are lower-budget-friendly.
I recommend checking asos.com out and also be on the watch out for Banana Republic's new holiday capsule collection, inspired by Anna Karenina and designed by the movie's costume designer Jacqueline Durran. The collection should come out this month primarily in stores and also on the online store.
So, happy luxurious winter.
Cheers!

Fall trend: Baroque

http://nollydakroury.polyvore.com/

We're leaving this modern world we're living in and going back four centuries into time. The Baroque time with all its outrageous elegance and intricate and posh ornamentation and detail.
Whether it's a  rococo style dress with flour detail and color or a black and gold skirt or jacket, I think at least one piece is a must have.
How to wear it: It depends on if you are wearing it for a night out or just in the day, whether you're going to work, just a casual outing with friends on the weekend, or to college (yes, you can actually dress up for college, it's really fun!)
There is always a lot going on in a baroque piece, so the ideal way is to pair it with another piece that does not have any pattern. So with a baroque skirt, I would pear it with a white, burgundy or dark teal shirt (that way you'll be combining two fall trends)and then wear a statement necklace or earring.
But if you want to pair it with another baroque piece, make sure they have the exact same pattern.
And most importantly: feel fabulous!

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

Everyone who has an H&M near to where they live must be jumping of joy now!
All of you should be looking out for the Anna Dello Russo collection that will be available starting tomorrow, October 4th.
In brief words, Anna Dello Russo is a fashion icon. She is currently the editor-at-large of Vogue Japan.
If you love making statements, then you will definitely love to own one of her pieces. They're both classic and bold.
I can't wait till H&M launches the US online store, which should be very soon!
